We would like to begin by respectfully acknowledging that the Town of Shelburne resides within the traditional territory and ancestral lands of the Anishinaabe, including the Ojibway, Potawatomi, Chippewa and the People of the Three Fires Confederacy.


These traditional territories upon which we live, work, play and learn are steeped in rich Indigenous history and traditions. It is with this statement that we declare to honour and respect the past and present connection of Indigenous peoples with this land, its waterways and resources.

  • Recommendation:

    BE IT RESOLVED THAT the minutes from the Regular Council meeting held April 22, 2024 and the April 22, 2024 Committee of Adjustment meeting be approved as presented and circulated.

  • Recommendation:

    BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council receives and approves the 2023 Financial Statements from RLB as presented.

  • Recommendation:

    BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Presentation by Centreville Homes - Request for Amendment to Subdivision Agreement be received as information.

WHEREAS public works professionals focus on infrastructure, facilities and services that are of vital importance to sustainable and resilient  communities and to the public health, high quality of life and wellbeing of the people of Ontario; and


WHEREAS these infrastructure, facilities and services could not be provided without the dedicated efforts of public works professionals, who are  engineers, managers and employees from provincial and municipal governments and the private sector, who are responsible for rebuilding,  improving and protecting our nation’s transportation, water supply, water treatment and solid waste systems, public buildings, and other structures and facilities essential for our citizens; and


WHEREAS it is in the public interest for the residents, civic leaders and children in Canada to gain knowledge of and to maintain a progressive interest and understanding of the importance of public works and public works programs in their respective communities;


THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT I, Mayor Wade Mills, do hereby proclaim May 19-25, 2024 as National Public Works Week in the Town of Shelburne.

  • Recommendation:

    BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council receives Report P2024-07 as information;

    AND THAT Council directs Staff to revise the upset limit of Development Charges credits (or reimbursement) for municipal sanitary sewer upsizing to $136,695 in Schedule "G" of the Subdivision Agreement with Centreville (Shelburne) Inc. based on Staff's review of the additional costing information submitted by Pearson Engineering Inc. as summarized in Report P2024-07. 

  • Recommendation:

    BE IT RESOLVED THAT leave be given for the reading and enacting of By-law #20-2024 being a by-law to amend by-law #18-2023 to appoint municipal committee and board members for the 2022-2026 term of Council.

  • Recommendation:

    BE IT RESOLVED THAT leave be given for the reading and enacting of By-law #21-2024 being a by-law to amend by-law #03-2023 to appoint municipal committee and board members for the 2022-2026 term of Council. 

  • Recommendation:

    BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council receives the Proclamation and Flag Raising Request;

    AND FURTHER approves the proclamation request and authorizes the Multicultural Flag to be raised from June 24-28, 2024.

  • Application for Zoning By-law Amendment (File No. Z24/01) under Section 34 of the Planning Act

  • Recommendation:

    BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council receives the items listed under Communications for information.

1) Memo from Ward and Uptigrove regarding the Chief Administrative Officer's Performance review.

    BE IT RESOLVED THAT according to Section 239 (2) (b) of the Municipal Act, Council enters closed session for personal matters about an identifiable individual, including municipal or local board employees.

    BE IT RESOLVED THAT the memo regarding the performance review of the CAO from Ward and Uptigrove be received.

    BE IT RESOLVED THAT leave be given for the reading and enacting of By-law #22-2024 being a By-law to confirm certain proceedings of the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Shelburne for its regular council meeting held May 13, 2024.
