  • Recommendation:

    BE IT RESOLVED THAT the minutes from the Committee of Adjustment meeting held October 4, 2021 be approved as presented and circulated.

  • Recommendation:

    THAT Council receives the information as presented and supports the initiative to provide diagnostic imaging services for North Dufferin and surrounding municipalities.

  • Recommendation:

    BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council receive report P2021-42 for information.

  • Recommendation:

    BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council receives report P2021-43 for information;

    AND THAT Council directs staff to give public notice of the Town’s intent to stop up and close, declare surplus and dispose of a portion of the First Avenue West road allowance, having an area of 344.12 square metres (0.085 acre), and to bring forward the necessary by-law for Council consideration, so that the land can be conveyed to Scone Development Inc.;

    AND THAT Council considers support for the proposed street name for the private condominium road in Draft Plan of Subdivision (File No. DPS 17/02) and Draft Plan of Condominium (File No. DPC 17/02) as Scone Lane or an alternative name linked to the history of the adjoining railway and direct staff on the preferred street name.

  • Recommendation:

    THAT Council directs staff to proceed with the following recommendations for the encroachment matter on Jane Street related to the property known as 604 Owen Sound Street;

    1)    Install no parking signs along Jane Street
    2)    Request that the property owner provide liability insurance for a minimum of $2 million dollars
    3)    That the owner enter into an encroachment agreement with the Town of Shelburne

  • Recommendation:

    BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council receives the staff report FS 2021-11 with respect to the September 30, 2021 Financial Update for information.

  • Recommendation:

    THAT Council receives the items listed under Communications for information.

  • Recommendation:

    As per section 239(2)(f) of the Municipal Act Council enters closed session to discuss advice that is subject to solicitor-client privilege, including communications necessary for that purpose.

  • Recommendation:

    THAT Council rises from closed session to resume regular business.

  • Recommendation:

    THAT Council receives the letter from Thomson, Rogers for information.

  • Recommendation:

    BE IT RESOLVED THAT leave be given for the reading and enacting of By-law #63-2021 being a By-law to confirm certain proceedings of the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Shelburne for its regular council meeting held October 18, 2021.
