Land Acknowledgement:

We would like to acknowledge the traditional territory of the Anishinaabe including the Ojibway, Potawatomi and Chippewa and the People of the Three Fires Confederacy.

  • Recommendation:

    That Council enters closed session as per section 239(2)(f) of the Municipal Act to discuss advice that is subject to solicitor-client privilege, including communications necessary for that purpose.

  • Recommendation:

    THAT we now rise from Closed Session.

  • Recommendation:

    THAT Council receives the information provided from Barriston Law as presented.

  • Recommendation:

    THAT Council provides direction to staff regarding Part A recommendations of the Dufferin County Service Delivery report specific to Indoor Recreation and Fire Services.

  • Recommendation:

    THAT Council receives the 2021 budget as presented.

  • Recommendation:

    BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council receives report #LS2021-05 from the Clerk for information;

    AND THAT Council approves the interview process as noted in the report and directs staff to call a Special Closed Session Council meeting to be held March 25, 2021 to hold candidate interviews for selection of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee members.

  • Recommendation:

    BE IT RESOLVED THAT leave be given for the reading and enacting of By-law #13-2021 being a By-law to confirm certain proceedings of the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Shelburne for its special council meeting held March 15, 2021.

  • Recommendation:

    BE IT RESOLVED THAT we now adjourn to meet at the call of the Mayor.
