  • Recommendation:

    BE IT RESOLVED THAT the minutes from the Regular Council meeting held December 12, 2022 be approved as presented and circulated.

1) Presentation of Report from Ward & Uptigrove regarding Town of Shelburne 2022 Compensation Review Report 

  • Recommendation:

    THAT according to section 239(2) (b) Council enters closed session for personal matters about an identifiable individual, including municipal or local board employees. 

  • Recommendation:

    THAT Council receives the presentation of the report from Ward & Uptigrove.

  • Recommendation:

    THAT Council rises from closed session to resume regular business.

  • Recommendation:

    BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council receive the Budget Education Session as information.

  • Recommendation:

    BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council:
    1. Receives report CAO 2023-01 Operations Review Town of Shelburne – Report and Recommendations for information; and that
    2. The additional three labourer positions recommended be included in the draft 2023 operating budget of the Development and Operations Department for the consideration of Council.

  • Recommendation:

    BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council:
    1. Receives report CAO 2023-02 Sport Fields and Outdoor Facilities Allocation Policy for information; and that
    2. The Sport Fields and Outdoor Facilities Allocation Policy be adopted.

  • Recommendation:

    BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council:
    1. Receives report CAO 2023-03 Committee Terms of Reference for Advisory Committees of Council for information; and that
    2. The Committee Terms of Reference Advisory Committees of Council be adopted.

  • Recommendation:

    THAT Council receives the letter from the Town of Caledon regarding the Dufferin Municipal Provincial Offences Act Board Appointment Request dated December 2, 2022 ;

    AND THAT Council appoints Deputy Treasurer, Maryon English and Director of Financial Services/Treasurer, Carey Holmes as an alternate to the Provincial Offences Act Board.

  • Recommendation:

    BE IT RESOLVED THAT leave be given for the reading and enacting of By-law #02-2023 being a By-law to authorize the borrowing of $9,655,515.00

  • Recommendation:

    BE IT RESOLVED THAT leave be given for the reading and enacting of By-law #03-2023 being a by-law to appoint municipal committee and board members for the 2022-2026 term of Council. 

  • Recommendation:

    THAT Staff investigate how the Food Bank can fit into the Town's Budget process as it is an essential service and bring a report back to Council.

  • Recommendation:

    BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council receives the items listed under communications for information. 

  • Recommendation:

    BE IT RESOLVED THAT leave be given for the reading and enacting of By-law 04-2023 being a By-law to confirm certain proceedings of the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Shelburne for its regular council meeting held January 9, 2023.
