We would like to begin by respectfully acknowledging that the Town of Shelburne resides within the traditional territory and ancestral lands of the Anishinaabe, including the Ojibway, Potawatomi, Chippewa and the People of the Three Fires Confederacy.

These traditional territories upon which we live, work, play and learn are steeped in rich Indigenous history and traditions. It is with this statement that we declare to honour and respect the past and present connection of Indigenous peoples with this land, its waterways and resources.

Presentation of the Draft 2023 Budget to Members of Council from the Director of Financial Services/Treasurer

• Recommendation:

  THAT Council receives the draft 2023 budget presentation.

4.

Motions and By-law for Decision

1.

Report CAO 2023-05 from the Chief Administrative Officer regarding Weekend Transit Services 2023

• Recommendation:

  BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council receives report CAO 2023-05 regarding Grey County Weekend Transit Service 2023 – Route Adjustments for information;

  and that the revised route adjustments for weekend service be approved pending weekend transit service being approved in the 2023 budget.

2023 Budget Discussion

Shelburne & District Fire Board draft 2023 budget

• Recommendation:

  THAT the Shelburne & District Fire Board draft 2023 budget be received for information.

Confirming By-law

1.

Confirming By-law # 06-2023 - January 30, 2023

• Recommendation:

  BE IT RESOLVED THAT leave be given for the reading and enacting of By-law 06-2023 being a By-law to confirm certain proceedings of the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Shelburne for its special council meeting held January 30, 2023.

  BE IT RESOLVED THAT we now adjourn to meet at the call of the Mayor.
