This meeting will be held electronically in accordance with Section 238(3.1) of the Municipal Act which provides that a member of Council, of a local board or of a committee of either of them, can participate electronically.

  • Recommendation:

    BE IT RESOLVED THAT the minutes from the Regular Council meeting held September 13, 2021 be approved as presented and circulated.

Each applicant will be afforded the opportunity to address Council for a period of not more than ten (10) minutes. Applicants will be timed.

The order of presentations is as noted within the attached spreadsheet.

Following each presentation there will be a short interview period, Council members will be afforded the opportunity to ask questions of each organization.

  • Recommendation:

    THAT Council receives the presentations for information.

  • Recommendation:

    BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council receives report SBA 2021-04 regarding the Elevated Water Storage Tower Project dated September 27, 2021;

    AND THAT Council approves the award of the RFP for the construction of a new elevated water storage tower to Landmark Structures Co. for the base contract value of $5,983,050 plus applicable taxes;

    AND THAT Council approves the debt financing plan to borrow $5 million from
    Infrastructure Ontario for a term of 20 years.

  • Recommendation:

    BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council receives report P2021-39 for information;

    AND THAT Site Plan Application SPA 19/03 be approved, subject to the following conditions:

    1. That the Owner enter into a Site Plan Agreement with the Town of Shelburne; and
    2. That the Owner shall submit final Site Plan drawings and information addressing agency and department circulation comments and engineering review comments to the satisfaction of the Town Engineer and the Town Planner.

    AND THAT leave be given for the reading and enacting of By-law #58-2021, being a by-law to enter into a site plan agreement with Stella-Jones Inc., substantially in the form attached to the by-law, for the proposed site works at 201 Wellington Street, Shelburne.

  • Recommendation:

    BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council receives the resolution from the Arts and Culture Committee for information;

    AND requests the Director of Financial Services/Treasurer to list the request for consideration during 2022 budget discussions.

    BE IT RESOLVED THAT leave be given for the reading and enacting of By-law #59-2021  being a By-law to confirm certain proceedings of the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Shelburne for its regular council meeting held September 27, 2021.
