We would like to begin by respectfully acknowledging that the Town of Shelburne resides within the traditional territory and ancestral lands of the Anishinaabe, including the Ojibway, Potawatomi, Chippewa and the People of the Three Fires Confederacy.


These traditional territories upon which we live, work, play and learn are steeped in rich Indigenous history and traditions. It is with this statement that we declare to honour and respect the past and present connection of Indigenous peoples with this land, its waterways and resources.

  • Recommendation:

    BE IT RESOLVED THAT the minutes from the Regular Council meeting held June 2, 2025, and the Special Council meeting held June 6, 2025, be approved as presented and circulated.

  • Recommendation:

    BE IT RESOLVED THAT the presentation from the Township of Melancthon regarding a proposed quarry in Melancthon Township be received as information. 

  • Recommendation:

    BE IT RESOLVED THAT the presentation from Dufferin County regarding the Community Safety Well Being Plan be received as information.

  • Recommendation:

    BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council of the Town of Shelburne receives the staff report FS 2025-06;

    AND FURTHER THAT Council adopts the 2024 Asset Management Plan, as Amended June 23, 2025, in accordance with Ontario Regulation 588/17.

  • Recommendation:

    BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council of the Town of Shelburne receives report SBA 2025-01 Sewage Capacity Allocation dated June 17, 2025 for information purposes;

    AND THAT Council establish the following servicing reserves:

    a. 5 m3/day for ICI development in the Stage 1 and 2 areas for the priority ICI developments with applications in process: CHP Commercial (101 Second Line); and,
    b. 10 m3/day for residential and mixed-use infill and intensification in the Stage 1 and 2 areas for the priority developments which are: Downtown/Intensification;

    AND THAT allocation of servicing capacity will be considered at the time of development approval for the priority projects identified in Report SBA 2025-01.

  • Recommendation:

    BE IT RESOLVED THAT the request from Shelburne supreme Slo-pitch to serve alcohol be received;

    AND THAT Council authorizes and grants permission for the serving of alcohol during the tournament being held July 12, 2025.

    BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council receives the items listed under Communications for information.

  • Recommendation:

    BE IT RESOLVED THAT By-law 27-2025 being a By-law to confirm certain proceedings of the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Shelburne for its regular council meeting held June 23, 2025 be approved.

    BE IT RESOLVED THAT we now adjourn to meet at the call of the Mayor.
