We would like to begin by respectfully acknowledging that the Town of Shelburne resides within the traditional territory and ancestral lands of the Anishinaabe, including the Ojibway, Potawatomi, Chippewa and the People of the Three Fires Confederacy.


These traditional territories upon which we live, work, play and learn are steeped in rich Indigenous history and traditions. It is with this statement that we declare to honour and respect the past and present connection of Indigenous peoples with this land, its waterways and resources. 

Members of Council are required to state any pecuniary interest in accordance with the Municipal Conflict of Interest Act.

  • Recommendation:

    BE IT RESOLVED THAT the minutes from the Regular Council meeting held November 24, 2025 be approved as presented and circulated.

  • Recommendation:

    BE IT RESOLVED THAT By-law 53-2025 being a by-law to provide for the levy and collection of rates or taxes required for the Town of Shelburne for the interim levy for the year 2026 and to provide for the mailing of notices demanding payment of taxes for the interim levy for the year 2026 on all classes of property be approved.

Fee increases are as follows:

  • Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF) cheque Fee increased from $40.00 to $45.00 to match what banks charge
  • Planning fees increased by 2.5%
  • Operations fees increased by 2.5%
  • Park Facilities and Rentals:
    -    Most line items increased by 2.5%
    -    Minor uses of baseball diamonds were not increased to begin a fee gap between minor and adult uses. 
    -    Fiddle Park facility spaces and fees new for 2026 for the new park.
    -    All sport tournament fees adjusted for consistent approach to cost structure – (10% discount on the 8 hour hourly rate).

  • Recommendation:

    BE IT RESOLVED THAT By-law 54-2025 being a by-law to amend user fees and charges for municipal services, programs and facilities be approved.

  • Recommendation:

    BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council receives report LS2025-13 for information;

    AND THAT Council directs Staff to bring forward a bylaw to the December 8, 2025, Council meeting outlining the changes as identified in the Draft Procedural Bylaw.

    BE IT RESOLVED THAT according to section 239 (2) (b) of the Municipal Act Council enters closed session for the purpose of discussing personal matters about an identifiable individual, including municipal or local board employees.

    BE IT RESOLVED THAT By-law 55-2025 being a By-law to confirm certain proceedings of the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Shelburne for its regular council meeting held December 8, 2025 be approved.
